The Black Hills Chamber Music Society has been an important part of the music
scene in the Black Hills area for nearly 40 years, working in conjunction with the
Black Hills Symphony Orchestra as well as other music organizations in the Black
Hills. Probably best known for the annual Chamber Music Concert Series, this is
but one part of what the Society does for the community in the area of music.
The Black Hills Chamber Music Society strives to reach people throughout the
ranges of their lives, from the school-age student through our senior population.
Through projects that take performing groups into the community, a diverse
population is reached and further educated about the importance of the arts in
our world.
Music is chosen from the literature of chamber music, solo recital, vocal choral,
and the dance deemed suitable at the time and place for such educational
performance purposes. Performances sponsored by the Black Hills Chamber Music
Society reflect diversity and balance in the selection of music from all eras, group
size (solo to chamber), and instrumentation.
Following each concert, audience members are invited to attend an artist's
reception. During this time, they are afforded the opportunity to talk with
musicians about their art and craft.
Season Ticket prices are $50 for Adults and $45 for Seniors.
